Heather Morgan Shott, LMSW
THERAPIST
I bring sensitivity, warmth, and compassion to my work, creating an empathetic, non‑judgmental space where you can openly explore your challenges, goals, and aspirations. Through a collaborative and trusting therapeutic relationship, we will examine the life experiences—past and present—that shape your current patterns, and identify the thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that may be limiting your ability to live the life you want.
Drawing from psychodynamic therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and dialectical behavior therapy, I use a curious, integrative approach to help you build insight and develop practical skills. Together, we will leverage your strengths, cultivate resilience, and create strategies that support meaningful and sustainable change. If desired, I can also work with you to develop mindfulness practices to help increase your presence, emotional regulation, and acceptance of everyday stressors.
I work with adults and adolescents navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, low self‑esteem, and significant life transitions, including career changes, work‑related stress, and relationship challenges. Additionally, I have a special interest in women’s reproductive mental health, supporting clients experiencing infertility, pregnancy and postpartum mood disorders, and perimenopause/menopause.
Change is possible, and you don’t have to pursue it alone. I look forward to working with you.
