Sarah Picard Taylor, LMSW
THERAPIST
My role is to create a supportive and collaborative space where you can safely explore what’s going on in your life—both the challenges and the possibilities. I truly respect the courage it takes to begin therapy, and I aim to meet each person with compassion, openness, and respect. In our work together, we will take time to understand your current experiences and gently explore the patterns, beliefs, or habits that might be causing distress or making you feel stuck. My goal is to help you move toward a life that feels more aligned with your values, with a stronger sense of self-trust and authenticity.
Many of the people I work with are navigating the stress and anxiety that can come with major life transitions—starting a new job or school, becoming a parent, or caring for an aging or differently abled family member. Others are coping with grief after the loss of a loved one or adjusting to changes in family dynamics due to divorce or long-term illness. I also have experience supporting individuals facing maternal health challenges and infertility. No matter the issue, I offer a supportive space where you can feel heard and understood.
My approach is rooted in relational therapy, psychodynamic listening, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and trauma-informed practices. I weave in mindfulness as needed as a way to build self-awareness and meet life’s challenges with greater compassion and presence. I work with adults across the lifespan and seek to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space for exploration and growth no matter your stage in life. Together, we can discover your natural strengths, build deeper connections with yourself and others, and help you cultivate a life filled with meaning and purpose.
