Sonya Hinich, MSW
THERAPIST
Life has a way of presenting us with moments that call for change. Whether you're navigating a difficult transition, struggling with overwhelming feelings, or simply sensing that something in your life needs attention, taking the step toward therapy shows tremendous courage. I believe deeply that therapy can enhance quality of life and facilitate genuine healing, and I'm passionate about supporting people on their unique journeys toward greater well-being.
I work with individuals and families to address a range of issues, including depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, difficult family dynamics, life transitions, grief, body image concerns, and prenatal/postpartum experiences.
I believe that every client is unique, which is why I tailor my approach to meet your individual needs. Drawing from psychodynamic therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and other modalities, I work collaboratively with you to find the combination of tools that will be most helpful for your specific situation. I have experience working with families and children navigating developmental challenges and others who have experienced trauma, utilizing Child-Parent Psychotherapy modalities.
My therapeutic philosophy centers on the belief that you are the expert on your own life. I see my role as walking alongside you, offering support, insight, and evidence-based techniques while honoring your individual journey. I strive to create a safe, warm, empathic, and non-judgmental space where we can collaborate on your goals and allow room for curiosity, exploration, compassion, learning, growth, healing, and relief.
